Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty born October 1st 1995 was born in Berkeley California. She is an actress, known as the actress behind Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House

Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is made up of actors and she has also been doing both professions. In 1985 she debuted in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. In 1988 the film of Michele Soavi's The Church was directed by Michele Soavi and she played part of the character Cristina Comencini's Zoo. Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, was her part in the role of Nanni Moretti's daughter. Close Friends (1992), directed and written by Michele Placido was the film that really launched Asia's professional career. Asia was able to transition from young girl roles to mature and complex ones. The film received an enthusiastic review during the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma (1996) as well as The Stendhal Sydrome (1996) are others she's made with her famous father. The Phantom of the Opera is her third film with her father. The others are Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a Nozze demonstrated Asia's intense way of performing. She played Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista. It was a character so complex that she won the David di Donatello award for best actress. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot as well. She also had the role of the physically challenged girl in the movie. Her next collaboration was with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion in 1995, which earned her another David di Donatello as and a Grolla D'oro. Asia began directing for a career in 1994. The first film she directed was Prospettive. The documentary she created about her dad followed by Abel/Asia (1998) the film that was awarded a prize at the Rome Film Festival and was each produced between 1996 and 1998. Asia's debut feature film came in the form of Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999, where she also acted as the lead actress and wrote the screenplay. The film premiered in May 2000 in Italy and around the world. This film was awarded by the Williamsburg Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou was her first born daughter in 2001. After the directing of several music videos, she welcomed Anna Lou. The year 2002 saw Asia on The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action-Thrille, directed by Vin Diesel. Asia also has a collection of stories that have been published in some of the most prestigious magazines.
